Job Description
Handles complex incident situations and provides guidance and coaching to lower level analysts. This role monitors the health of the infrastructure and makes timely decisions to ensure optimal network performance and organizational productivity. This role is also responsible for timely escalations to support groups to quickly and efficiently restore services when outages occur.
Key Responsibilities
• Operates as a resource for all incident detection
• Runs various diagnostics to determine validity of errors received
• Provides guidance to junior analysts regarding document, interdependencies, and application details
• Handles all types of rapid response calls and outages and drive calls to closure
• Offers improvements to processes and procedures
• Generates (or reviews) Customer Outage Notification or Business Outage Notification paging updates as needed
• Communicates regularly with all levels of leadership
• Utilizes chat, Email, and conferencing software to manage Rapid Response calls
• Adheres to Transactional Escalation Procedures
• Operates as go to person for updates, especially for SMON (Senior Management Outage Notification)
Education
• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
Experience
• 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)
Supervisory Responsibilities
• This job does not have supervisory duties.
Education & Experience (in lieu)
• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
