Sr Field Claim Specialist – Property Large Loss

Job Description
Responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for advanced Homeowner’s Claims. Determines coverage, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company
- Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to audit estimates of damages on 1st party homeowners' losses with complexity
- Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines
- Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; makes decisions on best option
- Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines
- Handling only claims in excess of $250,000.
Experience:
- 2 or more years of property large loss experience. (Preferred)
- Knowledge of and experience with SYMBILITY and Guidewire.
- CIP or FCIP.
- Excellent communication skills.
Education & Experience (in lieu):
- In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
