Job description:
Allstate Canada, Use My Protection, have moved to the ATS model and have an opportunity to support our Transformative Growth plans. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growth area that will help to expand your skill base and give you the opportunity to grow and develop in a new platform.
Accountable for leading a team of engineers in the Guidewire ClaimCenter Integrations Digital Product team in the Canadian ‘Use My Protection’ product family. The successful candidate will help drive the deliverables of the project as well as the harmonization of team needs and capability with delivery requirements and other stakeholders within the delivery ecosystem across multiple functional areas/vendors.
There will also be an opportunity to work closely with the other four Digital Product teams in Use My protection as a Product family.
Accountabilities:
- Manage integration engineers as part of a wider cross functional team agile Scrum or XP team
- Lead complex integration features ensuring quality, accuracy and attention to detail
- Participate in and provide solutioning for Claims Guidewire Integration enhancements.
- Work with Lead Engineering, Lead Digital Product Manager to ensure features are appropriately sized and prioritized
- Ensure ITSM ITIL Practices are followed such as Incident management, Problem Management, Change Management
- Identify opportunities and implement solutions that align to the C3 vision, reusing capabilities in the wider Allstate, aligning to target state architecture.
- Help troubleshooting Data integration issues and ensuring timely resolution
- General management and administration.
- As a people leader, you will bring out the best in your team and empower them to make decisions.
Qualifications:
- Guidewire Certified to a minimum of Associate Developer.
- 5 or more years’ experience in an Integrations Engineering role.
- Strong knowledge with SDLC, Agile and/or other recognized software development and project management methodologies.
- Guidewire Associate Developer Integration certification desirable but not mandated.
- Technical Experience with Allstate Canada Claims systems.
- Knowledge of Integration Technologies such as Java Spring, REST, React.
- Proven track record of leading successful complex integrations.
- Technical understanding of Claims processing and associated data flows.
