Job Description
The Vended Application Senior Consultant II typically provides expertise across several areas of the business and delivers product features utilizing vended software, particularly ERP applications, by applying knowledge of the application’s functionality and client business processes. The role creates technical designs for their area and configures vendor software for new or existing enterprise-wide and business-unit applications moderately complex and above projects and maintenance efforts.
Primary Purpose:
Responsible for the analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation and support of new software applications and enhancements and support to existing applications. Provide technology solutions to allow business units achieve their objectives and goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Application Production Support, Design, develop and test software applications
- Execute all production processes, batches, issues, defects and updates
- Support Production Releases including code management, system down time coordination and status communication
- Maintain systems by identifying and correcting software defects
- Expected to be able to raise problems to appropriate technology and business teams, while adhering to Service Level Agreements.
- Work as part of an Agile development team to solve problems and develop projects in a fast-paced environment
- Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
- Demonstrate a basic degree of creativity and problem-solving skills
- Follow the established software development life cycle
- Follow established coding standards and naming conventions
- Support applications using software development methodologies including structured programming, documentation, design and code review
- Work with business analysts and application users to define and design robust user centric application solutions
- Collaborate with database resources to ensure robust and complete data access and manipulation
- Collaborate with IT Operations to ensure hardware and software are aligned to deliver business requirements
- Act as a liaison between users, interfacing internal technology groups and vendors.
- Mentor juniors and other offshore developers
- Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job
Minimum Skills and Competencies:

- 8+ years of development experience in Siebel Tools Configuration, Workflows, Assignment Manager, Business Services, Webservices, eScript, XML, XSLT, Integration Objects, VBC, EAI, and EIM.
- Extensive experience in Siebel integration using EAI, Web Services
- Good Experience with OpenUI
- Experience in bulk data loads using EIM with hands on experience
- Good Experience in writing SQL and PL/SQL packages for data loads
- Understanding of data modeling concepts
- Database query and assessment
- Proficient in Oracle, SQL Server 2012 or above, transact SQL, stored procedures, triggers, DTS packages, performance tuning
- Knowledge of configuring LDAP/Active Directory for user authentication.
- Knowledge of Siebel architecture for Load Balancing.
- Knowledge in Siebel Deployment Activities
- Siebel Repository migration
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and SOLID design principles
- Experience with Entity Framework and Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks
- Experience with applying design and architectural patterns
- Experience in end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) project
- Possess experience in the insurance industry and/ or basic knowledge of insurance
- Knowledge on Defect/Incident management tools and process
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with code review and evaluation
- Ability to adapt and respond in a rapidly evolving business environment
- Understands solution at the project level
Desired Skills:
- Experience in Siebel Administration
- Experience on windows operating system and ability to debug complex issues related to Siebel servers.
- Siebel Upgrade experience is a plus
- Experience in Single Sign on and LDAP
- Experience in the Microsoft technology stack
- Experience in C# with good understanding of VB.NET
- Experience in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and JQuery
- Experience with SOAP and Restful Web Services (WCF, Web API)
- Proactively Identifying the issues (Performance) and providing the necessary solutions.
- Familiar with ITSM ticketing tools
- Experience with ADO deployments
