A day in the life of a Property Claims Service Leader, and what it takes to do the job!
The Field Claims Service Leader is responsible for serving as an integral member of the Claims Service Area (CSA) staff to assist in operations and coordination of CSA level oversight and activities including customer satisfaction, loss management and expense management objectives. Acts as CSA liaison with Home Office, CSA leaders and field employees. The individual delivers compassionate service that is fast, fair, and easy, to ensure customer retention. The individual provides mentoring and coaching to the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures and enables staff to maintain a connection with the customer by understanding and meeting their needs
- Manages and resolves escalated customer communications, concerns, conflicts or issues
- Consistently meet behaviors, production and customer service goals
- Eliminates barriers to achieving business results
- Develops, maintains and analyzes operational and statistical data used by market claim office (MCO) and CSA staff.
- Develops and maintains an environment of ethics and integrity that embraces all attributes of our shared vision.
- Proactively identifies and manages risk while eliminating barriers to help achieve business results.
- Manages processes to ensure delivery of compassionate service that is fast, fair and easy.
- Ensures adherence to empathetic and responsive customer service in all transactions.
- Effectively coaches and provides development/career guidance for direct reports.
- Participate in online meetings and trainings, being on camera as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must live in Texas.
- 2 or more years of field property adjusting experience.
- Proficiency in estimating software like Xactimate preferred.
- Strong focus on providing exceptional customer service.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a positive attitude toward challenges.
- Excellent organization and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Have a valid driver's license.
You’re provided with comprehensive training:
- The training program is designed to help you build a claims foundation and understand the systems and processes in your day-to-day work
- Ongoing training opportunities for continuous improvement happen regularly on the job
** Please note, you will be required to attend 1-week of training in Wheeling, IL **
Notice of Licensing Requirement:
- As a condition of employment, your office/area may require you to obtain an adjuster and/or an appraiser license which includes passing an additional background check with the Department of Labor. If applicable, you will be required to secure license(s) within 60 days of hire.

Based on our Company Car Guidelines, this role may qualify for a company car. Our leadership team determines this based on annual work mileage for this location. You may be required to use your personal vehicle until these guidelines are met. We offer mileage reimbursements for personal vehicle usage during work.
