Job Description
Quantitative Research Team is part of the risk and return group, responsible for overall quantitative investment research and analytical platform for Allstate Investments, striving to provide state-of-the-art research in asset allocation, public and private investing, and risk management.
This role is responsible for developing and supporting quantitative investment systems and applications as part of the Quantitative Research team. Areas of primary focus include design and implementation of quantitative analytical engine, client facing API library and investment applications in collaboration with a broader investment and technology team. A successful candidate will have extensive experience and passion with quantitative analytics, proficient in mathematics, modern data science techniques, SQL skills and solution development and deployment. In addition, candidates should be able to work well in a team, be highly self-motivated with the ability to execute independently. Additional knowledge with cloud computing will be a plus.
This role will be working closely with the US based quantitative research team in developing and supporting quantitative investment infrastructure and applications, signal production, storage and delivery for various investment strategies.

Design and implement quantitative database structures, automating robust data operations, data capture, and production pipelines

Design and implement Python API’s for quant use cases. Collaborate with other product teams to ensure integration with the library effectively.

Develop a robust quant process through a combination of both analytical and software development skillsets. Work with the QA team to set up testing plans. Trouble-shoot data and process problems when they occur and build automatic surveillance to avoid reoccurrence. Along with the rest of the India team, act as the key point of contact for production related issues and provide timely response for resolution during designated hours

Participate in projects and monitor product development plan, keeping the team informed about deadlines/obstacles/changes in the project plan
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience

5+ years of experience in a quantitative investment management or technology environment. Master in Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, and/or other quantitative discipline. Exceptional candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant work experience will also be considered.
