The Microsoft Dynamics 365 Software Engineer – Associate Manager is focused on optimizing user experience, ensuring that the business and technical needs of system users are met through the customization, development, and implementation of Dynamics 365 solutions. The Associate Manager owns and manages the application in production environments, being accountable for achieving key performance indicators tied to the success of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform and its integration with other business systems.
In this role, the Associate Manager leads and mentors small to medium teams, setting clear goals, motivating team members, and evaluating their performance. They offer guidance on technical issues, administrative policies, risk management, and problem resolution. This role also involves assisting in defining, implementing, and enforcing IT policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with Microsoft Dynamics 365 deployments. The Associate Manager plays a pivotal role in influencing business outcomes through strong leadership and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads and participates in retrospectives, encouraging each team member to provide feedback with empathy and fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
- Leads and participates in daily standups across site, cross-site, and product teams, ensuring alignment and open communication.
- Leads and participates in inceptions and sprint planning meetings, collaborating closely with the product manager to provide technical input and guide the backlog, ensuring a strong alignment between business needs and technical capabilities.
- Acts as a player-coach, leading by example in the day-to-day execution of building Microsoft Dynamics 365 product features and capabilities.
- Coaches the team and leads daily practices around paired programming, test-driven development, and best practices in coding and configuration specific to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Anchors the team with strong technical leadership, guiding them in selecting the right technologies, solving technical problems, and resolving technical conflicts within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 development team.
- Collaborates on strategy across product portfolios, working closely with product managers, peers, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive product development and execution.
- Leads the architecture and design efforts for the Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution, shaping the technical roadmap and ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Promotes knowledge sharing and contributes to the overall growth of expertise within the Dynamics 365 community, facilitating discussions on best practices, new technologies, and development methodologies.
