Job Description
Under limited supervision, the Catastrophe Field Auto Adjuster is responsible for meeting with customers across the country to investigate, negotiate, and settle moderately complex vehicle damage (which may include automobiles, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, recreational vehicles, and boats), or flood claims, when our customers are involved in a catastrophic event. The individual reviews the policy, determines loss coverage, inspects and assesses the vehicle damage, prepares or reviews a repair estimate for covered losses, and processes payment to customers.
***This position is Remote. The work consists of 70% in the field and 30% virtual.***
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Summarizes documents and enters into claim system notes
• Documents a claim file with notes, evaluations, and decision-making process
• Investigates, reviews, determines, and verifies moderately complex coverage/policy information
• Negotiates and settles claims in accordance with business unit best practices
• Handles virtual and field assignments
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• This job does not have supervisory duties.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
• 2 or more years of experience (Preferred)
• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
• Ability to utilize CCC, Mitchells and/or other auto estimating software
• Knowledge and understanding of paintless dent repair and other automobile repair techniques

• Applies general and occasionally broad negotiation and/or arbitration skills
