As a Trial Attorney, you’ll handle bodily injury, property damage lawsuits, and more, with thrilling trials, arbitrations, and mediations. Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with senior attorneys and legal teams on larger cases and projects, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Assist in gathering and organizing documents, evidence, and legal research for cases, including preparation for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
- Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents; prepare summaries and reports for senior attorneys.
- Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents under the supervision of senior attorneys.
- Assist in interviewing clients and witnesses, as well as drafting summaries of their statements and maintaining communication records.
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings to observe and assist as needed; may represent the company or clients in routine matters under supervision.
- Help monitor changes in laws and regulations, and assist in updating the legal team on potential impacts to ongoing cases.
- Participate in training sessions and mentorship programs to develop legal skills and gain exposure to more complex legal work.
Education
- Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the Florida State Bar.
