Role Designation: Home Based
Reporting to the Manager, Underwriting Quality & Support Services, the Senior Underwriter Quality & Education Specialist, will be accountable for:
Accountable for utilizing data resources (scans) and Industry data to target compliance risks and uses systems (focus, PLUS, RAM) to perform policy level auditing.
Prepare underwriting action plans for premium recovery and/or termination based on policy level audits.
Create and maintain tracking and provide reports for stakeholders including financial impacts.
Recommend and build quality review programs to execute margin management and anti-fraud by, ensuring compliance and quality control, and obtain the correct premium for risk.
Identify trends, analyze causes and communicate results and recommendations to appropriate management and identify any training opportunities to improve quality, compliance and profitability.
Assure proper execution and regulatory/legislative compliance of product and risk management practices.
Communicate effectively with other functional departments to shorten the learning curve and enable quicker impact.
Ability to work with policyholder data and sensitive information in a confidential manner by agreeing and adhering to a confidentiality agreement.
Identify gaps with the view of continuous improvement for learning and application of UW Rules & processes and do so in collaboration with Peers, AIC Business Partners, and Subject Matter Experts.
Qualifications:
5 years extensive P & C underwriting experience (minimum)
CIP designation (or actively pursuing)
Experience in trend analysis an asset
Some knowledge of Adult Learning, design & delivery is an asset.
Risk management & risk mitigation understanding, essential.
Strong knowledge of Allstate Underwriting Rules, Auto & Property Products on a National scale.
Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and application of learning; inclusive of formal evaluation and feedback.
Conduct various aspects of national underwriting training which involves system, product, regulatory, rate and rule changes etc
Work with subject matter experts, other Business Units & Partners, and tap into relevant resources in the build, design, and delivery of learning.
Partner with Allstate Brand, provide New Agent Risk Management & Underwriting Training
Enhance the Agent experience and business results, be the feedback loop in support of interpretation, understanding, and adoption and application of underwriting rules, and Best Practices
Developing, implementing and maintaining a personal development plan with stratum appropriate deliverables to deliver the highest-level business plan results and performance metrics.
