Your role in the team

Job summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Full stack Developer to join our dynamic team. This role is centered around integrating cutting-edge AI/ML backend services with a user-friendly interface, providing seamless functionality and exceptional user experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Angular to develop intuitive and responsive UIs, while connecting to Java Spring Boot services through RESTful APIs.

In this role, you will be responsible for building and enhancing the front-end components of our application, ensuring smooth communication between the Angular frontend and the backend services powered by AI/ML algorithms. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend developers and data scientists, will be crucial in delivering high-quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

Participates in knowledge sharing and contributes to the overall growth of the collective knowledge of the team.

Establishes continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices.

Practices daily paired programming and test-driven development

Collaborates within the team in designing UI to connect services to the front end

Participates in retrospectives to gather feedback and derive actionable items to improve the team and the product.

Participates in daily site, cross-site, and product team standups.

Essential Skills

All applicants must demonstrate they have a legal right to work in the UK for employment at Allstate. Allstate is not providing sponsorship for this vacancy.

3 Years of experience in React/Angular

3 Years of experience using RestAPI connecting backend functionality to front end features

Experience with Java, Springboot – ideally experience within a Java environment.

Desirable Skills

Knowledge around AI/ML

Prior Python experience
