Job Description
The Systems Analyst (SA) Sr. Consultant II, Production Support, creates high-level technical designs for complex projects and maintenance efforts by analyzing requirements and systems architecture, collaborating with technology partners and adhering to tool standards with little assistance. The SA Consultant II assesses, documents, and mitigates design constraints and/or risks and performs design reviews to develop and support optimal IT solutions. Analysts act as front-line support to our business line triaging and handling research requests, issues, system remediations, and bug fixes. This role requires some after-hour on-call support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages all input to a mainframe application with 100% accuracy and timeliness. Performs monthly audits to ensure quality of system performance.
- Has exemplary communication skills required to interact with client personnel to resolve audit issues or discuss requirements provided.
- Has knowledge and experience on updating mainframe systems directly and analyzing mainframe system data, including but not limited to, scheduling incoming files for multiple clients.
- Ownership of daily file monitoring for client(s) and coordinating scheduling conflicts/delays.
- Incident response management and communication to involved parties.
- Understands and can articulate how team work processes provide a line of sight to the customer
- Creates the high-level technical designs for high complexity projects and difficult maintenance efforts by analyzing and tracing designs to requirements (business, functional, and nonfunctional) and systems architecture; creates design documents and maintain design artifacts
- Understands the technical details, integration, and functions of a few applications, hardware, and/or software within a team; execute and enforce best practices
- Participates in design reviews, application design impacts between concurrent releases, and technical walkthroughs
- Identifies systems and technical constraints, potential technology risks, and document possible mitigation strategies for high complexity projects
- Stewards an application or project and the business process(es) supported; facilitate implementation of strategies, elimination of redundancies, and simplification of the application
- Supports the achievement of the Technology organization and corporate strategy; practices alignment to achieve the common purpose; demonstrates the focus on affordability, innovation and extraordinary customer service
- For high complexity projects, validates code to designs and requirements; conducts code walkthroughs, inspections, and reviews
- Provides technical input from team into architectural assessments; support architectural assessments; assist in enforcing architectural adherence for technologies within the team
- Works with Business Analysts to write functional designs, and understand business requirements and process flows for high complexity projects; understand patterns, methodologies and system modeling
Education
• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
Experience
- 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)
