Job Description
The Information Analyst provides enterprise and project-level information analysis support that produces consistent, accurate, and complete information requirements that enhances the analytic and reporting lifecycle throughout the enterprise. In support of the analytic and reporting lifecycle, this position will create data definitions that follow established standards and guidelines, develop and manage the logical and physical views of data that are consistent with the business objectives, and provide consulting on new developments within the business intelligence space.
Data Management Concepts
Demonstrates the ability to apply minor changes or develop new functions related to Data Management. Has a basic understanding of the design of Data Management. Has worked with knowledgeable users and other Information Analysts in meeting the Data Management business needs. Understands the customer implications of technological changes.
Internal Consulting
Is learning the basic role of an internal consultant, both in terms of client relationships as well as staff interaction. Participated, as a member of a team, in one or more of the basic consulting phases of problem definition, data gathering, analysis/ conclusion, and recommendation/ implementation.
Technology Industry Knowledge
Under the guidance of others, is learning about new technology as it applies to work assignments and tasks. Reads trade journals, books and other materials to remain informed about new technology. Maintains a curiosity about new tools and their utility on current projects. Understands the technology information available on-site.
Thriving in Change
Possess a basic understanding of Thriving in Change as demonstrated by the ability to adapt to changes in work assignments, policies, procedures and reorganizations with guidance from more experienced team members;  accept changes and works towards a minimal loss in productivity; works with experienced team members to talk through changing situations; learns the consequences of actions and how to deal with them effectively; and recognizes that a positive outlook influences and motivates the attitudes and actions of others.
Business Requirements Definition
Undergoing training and direct exposure to working with Business Requirements Definition tasks. Learning the steps necessary to complete a Business Requirements Definition for simple systems for systems analysis and design, quality assurance and/or applications testing.
Data Quality Assurance
Undergoing training and direct exposure to data quality concepts. Gaining a conceptual understanding of data quality terms and procedures.


Undergoing training and direct exposure to facilitating meetings and processes. Is well prepared for meetings and sticks to the topics without deviating from the purpose of the meeting.
Managing Change
Demonstrates the basic ability to adapt to changes in work assignments, policies, procedures and reorganizations with guidance from more experienced team members. Accepts changes and works towards a minimal loss in productivity while attempting to meet established target dates and delivering quality products and services with guidance and coaching. Talks through changing situations with the appropriate people, replacing emotional responses with positive and constructive solutions. Recognizes the need for personal and professional change and development, and makes an effort to do so with the help of others.


Job Qualifications

Job Qualifications

  • Basic SQL skills
  • College Degree with EIS or MIS classes or prior experience
  • Preferred prior experience in database modeling classes, MIS or EIS, system support, analytics, statistics
  • 0-2 years experience
