In this role, the Corporate Relations Senior Manager will support Allstate’s Claims organization, partnering with the Executive Vice President/Chief Claims Officer. The Claims organization is the largest employee group, 16,000 strong. The successful Senior Manager will be able to serve as a strategic business partner first, fully engaged in driving the business success of Claims and leveraging their communication expertise in doing so. They will have demonstrated strength in working in ambiguous environments and in an iterative manner. They will be a highly visual storyteller, able to translate complex strategies into visually compelling stories, messages, graphics and video.
Create and manage a strategic communication plan and budget in order to have communications aligned to and based on the business objectives
Ensure the integration, consistency of messaging and linkage across Corporate Relations as well as other Allstate areas of responsibility
In a timely manner, create and manage a communication plan in order to deliver key messages and ensure two-way communication with the proper audiences
Provide strategic communication counsel to the client and all departments or business units in order to provide them with the knowledge and direction necessary to communicate appropriately to various audiences
Ensure integration of corporate messages into business, department and regional messages in order to ensure consistency in delivery of key messages
Develop and oversee internal and external measurement strategies. This involves developing and improving internal/external communication plans, based on key measurement findings
Through an integrated positioning program, fully leverage all aspects of corporate relations to better position Allstate as an insurance and financial services leader
Engage diverse stakeholders in ongoing dialogue and enhance relationships based on common interests
Advance credibility, market position and positive reputation of corporation, especially with current and potential customers
Develop, manage and integrate a multi-faceted external positioning strategy
Proactively manage emerging and existing issues that may have an impact on overall business performance and the image of the Allstate

Bachelor degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field
Master degree preferred
